The piece combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary digital making. Each tray is cut and engraved in my Edinburgh workshop using precision tools, then finished by hand to retain the warmth and character of the timber. Rooted in history and mythology, labyrinths and sacred geometry have long symbolised reflection and discovery - from Daedalus’ mythical creation for King Minos to this contemporary interpretation. Here, historic form meets modern process, transforming abstract data into a tangible, meaningful object.
