A journey through time: Originally a Douglas Fir tree, this wood grew for over 60 years in America before being transformed into Scottish groynes sea defences. After enduring the forces of nature, a storm broke the structure free, depositing this wooden treasure on Scotland’s Gullane Beach. Lovingly upcycled by Argonauts in 2021, this sustainable coffee table embodies the beauty of weathered wood and its journey from sea to home.

Using the Shou Sugi Ban technique, a traditional Japanese method of preserving wood through charring, the table's surface boasts a stunning grain texture and deep patina. This process, paired with a polished finishing oil, enhances the wood's natural imperfections, making it ideal for those who value Wabi Sabi-inspired design.

Four steel bow ties secure the natural crack lines, creating a striking visual feature. The top section, made from Douglas Fir beams, is bolted together with heavy-duty hardware, while the handcrafted oak legs provide a sturdy base.
